Enjoy the classic flavors of Thanksgiving all year with this delicious twist on turkey and cranberry.
Ingredients:
¼ c. ketchup
2 T. Dijon mustard
1 16 oz. can whole-berry cranberry sauce
1 ½ lb. ground turkey
1 large egg
15 saltine crackers, crumbled up
½ c chopped parsley
2 gloves garlic, finely chopped
Salt
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix together the ketchup, mustard and about 1/3 of the cranberry sauce. Cover remaining sauce and refrigerate for later. Add the ground turkey, egg, saltine crackers, parsley, garlic and salt. Mix everything together and form into a loaf. Transfer to slow-cooker that has been misted with cooking spray. Cook on low 5 to 6 hours.
Preheat broiler. After loaf has completely cooked, place on baking sheet and spread remaining cranberry sauce over top. Cook in broiler until sauce begins to bubble, about 2 to 3 minutes. Let rest for 10 minutes, then serve with your favorite sides. |
