10 Outdoor Ideas for Warm Summer Nights

Warm summer nights bring back memories of childhood. Catching fireflies, biking until the last bit of sun sets, and epic games of hide-and-seek. Capture the spirit of summer by enjoying these “glowing” ideas to light up your summer nights. Make magical memories with fun-filled activities that will keep both bodies and imaginations active in the evenings.

1)    Flashlight Tag– Kids can’t get enough of this nighttime hide-and-seek themed tradition. Get your neighbors together and play in your backyard or a safe cul-de-sac. Grab your flashlights and get ready to go. Last one to be found wins!

2)    Groovy Glow Dance Party– Turn up the tunes, add some black lights & lots of glow sticks, and let it glow! There’s nothing like an old-fashioned dance party to bring out the fun on a warm summer night.

3)    Glow-in-the-Dark Bowling– Recycle your plastic water bottles and fill each with a different colored glow stick to create a game that will bowl the kids over! Use basketballs or soccer balls as your bowling ball.

4)    Backyard Campout– Dust off your tent and set up camp in your own backyard. Make s’mores, tell ghost stories, and sleep out in nature. We can’t promise a great night’s sleep, but we can guarantee lots of fun.

5)    Summer Night Sports– Light up the night with glow-in-the-dark sports balls. Try a game of flag football or soccer at your local park, a volleyball battle at the beach, or a round of mini-golf with glow-in-the-dark golf balls.
