Mad Scientist Costume

This easy Halloween costume is great for our crazy kids to express themselves. If you have friends or family in the science or medical fields, you can borrow lab coats and accessories, otherwise you can find most components at a costume store and then add your own touches.

Supplies Needed:

  • White Lab Coat
  • Goggles or black-rimmed glasses
  • Bow tie (optional)
  • Rubber gloves
  • Silver Colored Hairspray (optional)
  • Short-Haired White or silver Wig (optional)
  • Additional Accessories (test tube, magnifying glass, pen, other lab accessories, etc.)

Directions:

If your child's hair is long enough, use a comb to tease it creating a mad scientist look. After the hair is teased, spray it with hair spray. Once the hair spray is dry, spray again with the silver-colored hair spray (I suggest doing this outside). If your child's hair is not long enough to create the Mad Scientist look, purchase a white or silver colored wig and tease it to create the look.

Once the child's hair is done, put on the white lab coat, goggles (or glasses), bow tie and gloves. Add science lab accessories to the pockets of the coat to finalize the costume.
