Spooky Spider Pumpkin

A creepy crawly has never looked so adorable. All you need are a few simple materials to turn your mini pumpkin into a "spooky" spider. 

Materials:

  • Mini pumpkin
  • Black acrylic paint
  • 2 - Googly eyes
  • 4 - Pipe cleaners
  • Glue (craft or hot glue)
  • Paint brush
  • Shelac or other sealant

Instructions

Use a damp paper towel or dish cloth to clean off your pumpkin to remove any dirt.  Pat completely dry.

Paint the entire pumpkin, including the stem, with the black paint. Allow to dry completely.  Seal with shelac to keep the paint from peeling.

Fold pipe cleaners in half and cut them to create the eight legs. Use the tip of a pen to poke eight small holes, 4 on each side, toward the top of the pumpkin. Carefully insert one of the pipe cleaners into each of the holes. Bend each of the pipe cleaners to look like spider legs. 

Glue the two googly eyes to the front of the pumpkin.
