Stuffed Pasta Shells

Get stuffed with this classic Italian dish. This is a delightfully decadent meal that is sure to impress your guests....and they don't even have to know how simple it was to make!


12 oz. jumbo pasta shells

2 15 oz. containers ricotta cheese

½ c. parmesan cheese

1 c. fresh basil, finely chopped

24 oz. marinara sauce

1 c. mozzarella cheese

½ c. fresh parsley, finely chopped



Preheat oven to 425° F.  Boil pasta shells until just tender, drain and set aside to cool. 

In a bowl, mix together ricotta, parmesan cheese and basil.  In a 9 x 13 baking dish, spread half of marinara sauce on the bottom.  Stuff shells with ricotta mixture and place in dish.  Pour remaining marinara sauce over stuffed shells and top with mozzarella and parsley.  

Bake for 12 minutes. Turn on broiler for 2-3 minutes until cheese begins to brown. Serve with your favorite veggies or a leafy green salad.
