Walking Tacos

What better way to eat a taco than when walking?! Walking Tacos are delicious, fun to make and easy to eat whether your sitting at the table or walking around!

Ingredients – Taco Meat

  • ½ cup minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • ½ cup canned tomato sauce
  • ½ cup chicken broth
     

Taco Fixings

  • 6 1 ounce bag Fritos

Suggested toppings:
Cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, avocados, onions, jalapenos, and sour cream

Directions:

  • Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in garlic and spices and cook for about 30 seconds.
  • Stir in ground turkey and break apart any large pieces. Cook until done about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in tomato sauce and broth. Simmer until thickened about 10 minutes. Season with salt to taste.

To assemble tacos: Cut open side of Fritos bags and slightly crunch Fritos. The bag will be your “taco shell”. Add a few spoonfuls of taco meat and any toppings you desire.

Eat and enjoy!
