Grab 'n' Go Energy-Packed Snacks

Growing kids are always hungry! With an abundance of not-so-healthy “convenience foods” available, it’s not always easy helping our kids make smart snacking choices. has some simple, power-packed snacks that will not only please their palates, but also fuel their bodies.   

Grab 'n' Go Energy-Packed Snacks: 

No-Bake Energy Bites – Moms can make these simple, no-bake bites on the weekend and keep them in the refrigerator all week long for easy snacking.  Each bite is filled with wholesome, energy fueling ingredients such as oatmeal, peanut butter, honey and coconut.

Baked Sweet Potato Chips – Sweet potatoes pack a nutritional punch! These easy baked chips will have the kids thinking they are getting a treat while mom feels good about their "smart snack" choice.

Peanut Butter & Strawberry Crepes – This nutritious treat tastes like a dessert, but is deceitfully healthy with its protein, fruit and healthy grains.  Spread creamy peanut butter on a whole wheat tortilla, sprinkle with fresh sliced strawberries then roll it up and enjoy.

Turkey & Cheese Roll Up – A totally protein-packed snack that is so easy the kids can make it themselves.  Simply unwrap a low-fat string cheese and wrap with a slice of turkey and voilà!

Yogurt Parfait “Sundaes” – A kid-tested and approved snack that will fill their bodies with calcium, fruit and whole grains.  Layer Greek (or regular) yogurt in a clear cup with granola and seasonal fruit for a sweet treat that is sure to please them any day of the week. 

Hummus Cups with Veggies – An easy grab and go snack that you can take with you on your way to soccer practice, music lessons or just to add some brain power before homework. Fill a plastic container with hummus on one side and fresh veggies on the other.  Crispy, crunchy and satisfying!
