Simple Instructions:

Start by cutting the toliet paper roll in half. Measure a strip of green construction paper slightly taller than the toilet paper roll to hide any imperfections. Cut out and glue to the toilet paper roll. Next, draw a circle about an inch larger than the bottom of the toilet paper roll (we used the lid of a jar to help) and glue to the bottom. Measure and cut out a one inch wide strip of black construction paper and glue to your hat to look like the band. You can also use a black marker to draw it on. Cut a small rectangle out of yellow contstruction paper and glue on to look like a buckle. We used gold pipe cleaners for this, but you could also use gold glitter glue or anything else you might have in your craft supplies. Roll out butcher paper (found at your local craft store) on your table, put crayons in your leprechaun hat crayon holders, and let the kids draw and write what they are lucky to have.
