Directions

Put a marshmallow on top of each kabob stick. For the non-chocolate covered marshmallows, fill a cup with water and dip the entire marshmallow into water for 5 seconds. Immediately sprinkle each marshmallow with a generous amount of colored sugar sprinkles. Let dry.

For the chocolate covered marshmallows, pour chocolate chips into a microwave safe glass. I recommend a narrow glass rather than a bowl so that the chocolate is deeper and easier to dip the marshmallows into. Microwave for 30 seconds at a time for a total time of 1 ½ -2 minutes total, stirring after each segment. If chocolate gets clumpy, you can add a small amount of shortening to smooth. Place 1 large marshmallow on each skewer and dip into melted chocolate. Use a spoon to cover the entire marshmallow with the chocolate. Once the desired amount of chocolate is achieved, add sprinkles and then place skewer in a tall glass in the refrigerator (marshmallow sticking out of the top) to set the chocolate. Allow pops to chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
