As a busy mom, I encourage a healthy lifestyle with my family including smart food choices, lots of fruits and veggies and exercise. I try to steer clear of unnecessary sugar, artificial flavors and preservatives whenever possible. So I was thrilled when Welch’s® contacted me to be one of a select group of moms to try their new Farmer’s Pick by Welch’s® line of fruit juices at the beautiful Brentwood Certified Farmer’s Market in Southern California.
As I entered the market, freshness surrounded me with the most beautiful fruits and vegetables I had ever seen. Radiant red strawberries, vitamin-packed veggies and healthy choices as far as the eye could see. It made me wonder why I don’t frequent my local farmers markets more often but, alas, our busy family schedule often gets in the way!
I brought my daughter and some good friends with me as I visited the Farmer’s Pick by Welch’s® booth and had the opportunity to sample the juices first hand. I was excited to try all of the flavors including Concord Grape, Mango and Blackberry. I had heard that the juices were 100% juice and contained no added sugar. Definitely positive attributes but would the juice taste good? I took a sip…. It was delicious! My daughter exclaimed, “Mom, this juice is SO good!” When I asked how they were able to create a juice with such strong flavor and aroma, I was told the secret was the unfiltered juice. It really had an amazing fresh-picked taste. After my daughter drank at least five of the sample cups of juice, I finally had to tell her to save some for the other guests!
I am glad to know that even on my busiest of weeks, I am now able to pick up Farmer’s Pick by Welch’s® right in the juice aisle of my local grocery store. Not only is it convenient, but I can feel good serving it to my family knowing that they are receiving 2 full servings of fruit in each 8-oz. glass with no added sugar and no preservatives or artificial ingredients.
