Not-So-Scary Scarecrow

Using recycled items from around your house, you can create this cute little fall craft.

Items Needed:

• Brown paper lunch bag
• Newspaper
• Yellow, blue, orange, brown and black construction paper
• Googley eyes
• Glue
• Scissors

Simple Instructions:

1. Open paper bag and stuff with newspaper – be careful not to stuff the bag too full. Tape the top of the bag shut.
2. Cut out the following:
   •                 8-10 Yellow strips of paper about ½ inch wide, but different lengths for hair
   •                 1 Blue Bow Tie
   •                 Brown Hat (triangle for the top, rectangle for the bottom)
   •                 Orange Triangle for a nose
   •                 Blue ‘brim’ for hat (rectangle the width of the ‘hat’)
   •                 Black smile
3. After you have the above items cut out, paste the bow on the bottom of the bag.
4. Then, paste on the mouth, nose and Googley eyes.
5. Paste on the yellow strips of paper for hair.
6. Apply the blue ‘brim’ across the yellow hair.
7. Then, add the top of the hat, followed by the bottom of the hat, leaving a little blue showing.
